The Emerald Society of Housing Employees, Inc. is fraternal organization founded in 1958. It's members are consist of employees of the New York City Housing Authority of Irish descent.

The New York City Housing Authority is the largest landlord in the nation. With over 180,000 units and over 400,000 residents it takes a dedicated and skilled work force to maintain such a large and complex agency.
